Dhira Samira

Lila-sthana · Dhira Samira, Parikrama Marg, near Vamsi Vat, Vrindavan, UP 281121

A shaded grove on the Yamuna bank beyond Vamsi Vat, named for the "gentle breeze": the tradition says the wind grew still here while Radha and Krishna sat together and Krishna played his flute. Jayadeva's Gita-govinda places Krishna waiting for Radha at Dhira Samira, and a small Radha-Krishna shrine marks the spot. A pontoon crossing nearby leads to Mansarovar and Belvan on the far bank.
