Bhadkeshwar Mahadev Temple

A Shiva temple on a rocky outcrop at the sea's edge west of the town, housing a linga that tradition says emerged from the sea. When the monsoon swell rises in June–July the waves wash over the shrine entirely, and at other times the walk out is easiest at low tide. Maha Shivaratri brings the biggest crowd, and many visitors come for the sunset.
