Sri Dwarkadhish Temple

Temple · Dwarkadhish · Dwarkadhish Bazaar, Vishram Bazar, Chaubey Para, Mathura, UP 281001

The largest Pushtimarg temple of Mathura, a short walk from Vishram Ghat, built in 1814 by Seth Gokul Das Parikh, treasurer of the Gwalior state and a follower of the Kankroli seat of the Vallabha sampradaya. Krishna is served as Dwarkanath in black stone beside a white-marble Radharani, and darshan opens only for short jhankis between the sevas. The thirteen-day Hindola in Shravan, when both deities sit on gold and silver swings, is its best-known festival.
