Durvasa Rishi Ashram
Lila-sthana · Radha-Krishna · Isapur (Jamuna Paar), Mathura, UP 281204
The hermitage of the sage Durvasa on the east bank of the Yamuna, about a mile upstream from Vishram Ghat, from where he is said to have crossed the river on the Dvadashi of King Ambarisha's fast. The gopis are remembered as having fed him here, and nearby tradition places the ashram of Parashara and the island where Vyasadeva was born. A large temple on the site holds deities of Durvasa, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Radha-Krishna and Yamuna-devi.
