Siddha Bakula
Bhajan kutir · Bali Sahi Road, Puri, Odisha 752001
The spot behind Kashi Mishra's house where Mahaprabhu settled Haridasa Thakura, who chanted three lakh names a day here and left his body in the Lord's presence. The old bakula tree is said to have grown from a used tooth-stick of Jagannath that Mahaprabhu planted to shade him; its trunk is hollow yet still in leaf. Rupa Gosvami read his plays to Mahaprabhu under it, and Sanatana Gosvami stayed here with Haridasa.
