The temple of Guruvayurappan, Krishna in the four-armed form he showed Vasudeva and Devaki at his birth, worshipped by Guru (Brihaspati) and Vayu — hence the name. Its day begins with the nirmalya darshan at three in the morning; children are given their first rice here, and more weddings are held at its gate than almost anywhere in Kerala.
