The grove where the cow Surabhi worships Lord Gauranga beneath a banyan tree and where Markandeya Rishi took shelter — the origin of the name Godruma. Bhaktivinoda Thakura opened his Nama-hatta, the "marketplace of the holy name", here; the math holds temples of Nityananda Raya and Radha-Madana-mohana, a Surabhi shrine with goshala, and the Thakura's room.
