Pancaveni (Maha-Prayaga)

The confluence where five rivers meet the Ganga — the Bhagirathi with the Mandakini and Alakananda, the hidden Sarasvati, and the Yamuna with the Bhogavati from the west. Called Maha-Prayaga by the sages; the mahatmya says one who bathes here does not take another birth.
