Keshava Deo Temple

Temple · Keshava Dev · Janmabhoomi Marg, Katra Keshavdev, Mathura, UP 281001

The temple of Keshavadeva, long honoured as the presiding Lord of Mathura, inside the Janmabhoomi compound on the ground of Katra Keshavdev, where a succession of great temples rose and fell — the last destroyed by Aurangzeb in 1670. The present shrine was built by Ramkrishna Dalmia in memory of his mother and opened by Hanuman Prasad Poddar in September 1958; its white-marble Keshavadeva receives the complex's main aratis.
