Shringar Vat
Lila-sthana · Gaura-Nitai · Shringar Vat, near Imli Tala, Vrindavan, UP 281121
A temple built around the banyan where, in the rasa-lila, Krishna found Radharani after she had slipped away from the dance and decorated her hair with forest flowers. Nityananda Prabhu stayed under this tree when he came to Vrindavan, so it is also called Nityananda Vat. The temple shows relics from the Goswamis' time: japa beads of Jiva Goswami, ornaments of Nityananda and manuscripts attributed to Rupa and Jiva Goswami.
