Pani Ghat

A ghat on the eastern side of Vrindavan, a little off the parikrama path behind the Rangaji temple, near Pani village. Here, the story goes, the gopis carrying food to the sage Durvasa on the far bank found the flooded Yamuna parting for them on the strength of Krishna's celibacy, and again on their way back on the strength of Durvasa's fasting. Boats still cross here to the Devraha Baba ashram.
