Mathura Parikrama

The traditional circuit of the old city of Mathura, begun and ended with a bath at Vishram Ghat. The path follows the ghats up the Yamuna past Kans Qila, then turns inland through the tilas, the Janmabhoomi and the shrines of the four guardian Shivas, passing places such as Ambarish Tila, Mahavidya, Bhuteshwar, Rangeshwar and Saptarishi Tila; Braj Discovery reckons it at about ten miles. Tanks on the way, such as Shiv Tal, are bathing stops.
