Gundicha Temple

The garden temple at the far end of the Bada Danda, about 2.6 km from the main temple, where Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra stay for seven days after the Ratha Yatra. The day before the festival Mahaprabhu and His associates washed it inch by inch, a pastime Gaudiyas repeat as Gundicha-marjana. It is named after Queen Gundicha, King Indradyumna's wife, and on Hera Panchami Lakshmi comes here looking for her husband.
