Srivasa Angan (Khol-bhanga-danga)
Temple · Gaura-Nitai · Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Marg, Sri Mayapur, WB 741313

The courtyard of Srivasa Pandita, the incarnation of Narada Muni, where Sri Chaitanya held the first nightly sankirtana with His associates — the birthplace of congregational chanting. The deities of Gaura-Nityananda are worshipped with the mridanga broken by the Kazi's men, hence the name Khol-bhanga-danga. It is also where the Lord's maha-prakasa pastimes and the departure of Srivasa's son took place.
