A village across the Yamuna from Mathura revered as the appearance place of Srimati Radharani. Braj tradition tells that King Vrishabhanu, bathing in the Yamuna at dawn, found the infant Radha on a hundred-petalled lotus and carried her home to Kirtida; the family later moved to Barsana, and in some tellings the finding happens there instead. The Radha Rani Janmasthan temple and its kund mark the spot, and here Narada is said to have received Her darshan.
