ISKCON Puri — Bhakti Kuti

ISKCON temple · Radha-Krishna · Bhakti Kuti, K.M. Munshi Marg, Swargadwar, Puri, Odisha 752001

The seaside retreat Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura built for himself at Swargadwar and named Bhakti Kuti, living here on and off between 1900 and 1910. He willed the land to the government, and when it invited a Vaishnava society to care for it ISKCON took charge and built a temple for Radha-Giridhari and Mahaprabhu. It stands next to Satasana, across the lane from Haridasa Thakura's samadhi; murtis of Bhaktivinoda Thakura and Srila Prabhupada sit in the temple hall.
