Sri Radha Madan Mohan Mandir (Old Temple)
Temple · Radha-Krishna · Parikrama Marg, near Kaliya Ghat, Bankebihari Colony, Vrindavan, UP 281121
Counted first among the Seven Goswami temples, it crowns the Dwadasaditya Tila hill above Kaliya Ghat, where Sanatana Goswami served Madana-Gopala. The Multan merchant Kapur Ram Das raised its tall red-sandstone tower around 1580. In the Mughal period the original deity was taken to Rajasthan and is now worshipped in Karauli; a replica of Radha-Madana-mohana with Lalita-sakhi is served in the adjoining later shrine and still receives the anga-kadi balls Sanatana used to cook.
