Poramatala — Praudha Maya and Kshetrapala Siva

The temple of Praudha Maya, the Yogamaya who veils and reveals the dhama, and of Kshetrapala Siva, its guardian, in the heart of old Nabadwip. Tradition says the brahmanas of Mayapur carried the deities across the Ganga when the river swallowed the old town. A busy, much-loved temple with a large annual fair.
