The guardian Shiva of the eastern side of Mathura, standing near Vishram Ghat on the lane along the riverfront. As one of the four kshetrapala Mahadevas he is honoured on the Mathura parikrama, which continues from here past the shrines of Veni Madhava and Dauji, Tinduk Tirtha and Surya Ghat towards Dhruva Ghat and Saptarishi Tila.
