Paramananda Puri's Well
Lila-sthana · Lokanath Temple Road, Sandhajaga, Puri, Odisha 752001
The well of Paramananda Puri, a disciple of Madhavendra Puri whom Mahaprabhu honoured as a senior, at his small monastery west of the Jagannath temple. Its water was bitter until Mahaprabhu prayed to Jagannath to let the Ganga enter it; the Lord then declared that drinking or bathing in this water gives the same result as the Ganga. The well survives in a lane west of the temple.
